I dont get it at home we can do out and beat most teams and draw with the best teams, but away we look like a side that's never played football before the 3 goals we let in V Bournmouth were just criminal,

The commentator said yesterday that Bournemouth have won more away games than EFC during their time in the EPL.

That is how bad our away form has been not just this season, but for a long time now.

Ive just said in the match thread K, everything we do is just safe, boring, predictable.... Mirrors Silvas press. Conferences come to think of it lol

There is enough talent in that squad to be taking the game to the likes of Bournemouth, Villa, Palace but everything is just one paced and predictable.

We need to change tactics and formation away from home
Keep it solid at the back with the FBs staying at home more and using pace on the counter from the front 4
Need to keep 6 behind the ball most of the time
If /when we get some away results we can gain a bit of confidence and maybe become more expansive
The high defensive line away from home doesn’t work for us and has proven to be our downfall away from home on numerous occasions

Go back as far as post Kendal title winning team & couple of seasons under Moyes 4th spot etc then on wards to today Everton have always been crap away from home and that is not just exclusive to Everton most of the other floaters in the league are the same
The only teams with good away records are the teams that win stuff or at least challenge to win stuff
Everton have only had any serious money to compete since Kenwright and his mates sold their shares which is pretty recent
and in that time most of the teams in this league can spend money no longer is there a guaranteed easy 3 points
Eventually with the right recruitment the club will get it right

THE WHOLE PREMIER LEAGUE AWAY FROM

I personally dont think we were horrendous on Sunday, at least in the first half.

However I do think he needs to try something different away from home. Maybe drop Sigurdsson for Holgate and play a 5 at the back with Kean, Iwobi and Richarlison up top. Delph and Gomes (who we missed on sunday) in the middle and the usual 2 at wing back.

Had more possession in the 3 away games but doesnt count for anything. I can see what he's trying to do but we simply dont have the quality to play so high and leave space behind us.
Two quicker centre halfs and a few more clinical finishers then yeah. Otherwise he's trying to be man city without silva de bruyne and stirling.
Agree. Be much more effective hitting on the break. The clinical side might not still be there but at least we are not leaving the centre halfs exposed to space behind.

03-04 was boss.

Hammered down all game and Pompey was the furthest away of the year about 3 days before christmas.

Think it was 2-1, Rooney definitely scored.

Think I still have Hyperthermia.

The maddest thing about this is we’ve got arguably the best away fans in the league sell out week in week out and we hardly ever win on the road.

We are all bonkers aren’t we?
