Going to be interesting to see how many of those injuries clear up before Arsenal’s next game…

Not exactly been subtle about it have they. Sets an interesting precedent - if they can do this without any consequences why would any club release players for international friendlies and the likes? Wouldn't necessarily be in favour of it but wonder if FIFA might consider a rule along the lines that any player who withdraws from international duty injured has to miss the club's next game.

They'll have players turn up to train and develop a slight strain a day before the game.
I've no qualms players with something to play for and win dipping out of nonsense games. It gives a raft of other players a taste at international level.

I've no massive issue with them doing it (for friendlies anyway), in fact I quite admire them being so hard nosed about it, that's how you win things. Just makes me wonder what if anything FIFA might do about it in terms of rule changes because when one club does it and gets away with it the others will follow suit for parity.

Ever see those maniacs on tv in the mid 80's that would juggle chainsaws and flaming bags of dog-doo and a rattlesnake? That's fifa today. Mutiny in afcon, where fans have been taken hostage, an invented football peace prize for the potus. Let's say that again. "An invented football peace prize for the potus"! A problem with the WC and uninvited qualifiers. Ad breaks enforced during subs and water breaks. The lads from the emerald isle didn't make it, so the two week knee's up in Boston is cancelled. And tickets for games, taxi's to grounds, hotels in the same state, and flights have all been priced out of reach for anyone who's first name isn't Sheik, or used to have a financier pal named jeffrey.

It's some horror show they've coalesced.
