But in reality, I have no idea why they are missing, but im certainly not reading anything in to it.

It;s always been that way. Unless you're sent off for violent conduct or endangering an opponent you get one game.

As far as I know it's always been a 3 match ban for violent conduct only, which tends to be the reason for most straight red card offences.
