Awful fist half display and Allardyce and players need to have a good long hard look at themselves! However, weren't one goal a wicked deflection off Williams head and their new striker goal was surely off side on another day. Not that it make much difference, but the crowing by the media is well over the top..

We Played a new defender in an untried back 5, got battered.
Last season, Our first go at a back 5 away to Chelsea got smashed 5 nil.
Brought Pennington back for his first game in a long time in a back 5 v Liverpool, battered again.

We have never ever ever played well with a back 5

i could pick faults with the manager and the tactics but i wont.
this is about the same players who have failed to perform for 3 managers this season.

they were the experienced players in the squad today and their leadership and example to the rest of the team was pathetic. they hid , they shirked, they didn't put in any effort at all. rather than motivate their team mates and grab the game by the scruff of the neck , the just pulled the attitude and effort of the team down to their level. an utter disgrace imo.

its been the same from both of them all season. drop the pair of them indefinitely and only use if there is no one else fit.
