That’s what any normal club would do , having said that most normal clubs ( like Ipswich) wouldn’t sign an injured player , that had been mostly injured for the past 2 years , in the first place

Exactly this. "If" beto goes, dcl injured or is he going also? then why bring your what may be your main striker on when your winning against a very poor lower league team just after an injury at the wkend. Ok unrelated to his other injury/unlucky but was totally unnecessary to me anyway. Could say hindsight but I called it as soon as he was brought on.
