In eras of success we have had great no 9s .....Dean, Lawton, Hickson, Pickering The GV & Vernon Royle . Latch, Sharpy & Gray etc .... Ferguson & Rideout all fetched silverware in ....or almost did the Latch the exception, but what a CF -We supplied the world with Dixie Dean. Tommy Lawton, Bob Latchford, and a few more. Now we showcase the world Sandro, Maupay, Beto and Barry.
Was fairly successful if I remember right. Think that was more out of necessity at the time but surprised he never used this option this season. Maybe would be too much of a statement saying he thinks neither is good enough. That's basically what he did with Cahill and Fellaini.
Don't think anyone's of Cahill or Fellaini's caliber either to be honest. Quality, quality players. Was fairly successful if I remember right. Think that was more out of necessity at the time but surprised he never used this option this season. Maybe would be too much of a statement saying he thinks neither is good enough.
This is wildI started making a spreadsheet a while back with some data from our strikers signed over the last 10 years,
Moyes is the reason we HAVE the "what ifs".I imagine Moyes has got to be sick of the "what ifs" with us and forwards.
Splash the cash, man.
We would also have to play a winger who isn’t ready And that’s one square peg too many for Moyes. No point playing a winger or 10 as a 9 unless their legs have gone. George apparently has had a few games as a number 9 so I'd say maybe try him there. But Ndiaye is too creative across the pitch to put as a 9, we need creative wingers like him just as much.
