Are we more of an embarrassing shambles than peak Newcastle, QPR, Man City, Sunderland or Cardiff City?

Who are/were the biggest embarrassing shambles?

I’ve gone with Everton, purely because we are much bigger than the clubs mentioned (at the time of their implosions). It’s unbelievable a business such as ours has been ran so amateurishly. Absolutely crippled by Premier League P&L rules, losing money hand over fist, an owner building a stadium the club can’t afford, a squad on vastly inflated wages with no relegation clauses and a chairman who is like a turd that won’t flush. Make no mistake, if Everton go down then that’s the end of this club.

It shows the hysteria that the "online fanbase" has when delusional polls like this get made and our fans can't wait to bizarrely choose Everton.

We came 10th under Ancelotti and the season after we just finished 16th. This season we are battling relegation. People are acting like that's not a standard trajectory for a club that falls in to trouble to have.

Clearly we have declined since Moshiri took over and huge elements of his tenure have been fairly shambolic but we haven't even been relegated once yet and are significantly closer to having a 53,000 Stadium, which will be one of the best in the country in terms of design and modern facilities.

Some of these clubs have faced multiple relegations and had TV series to document their decline. Leeds & Newcastle had been top 4 clubs within a few years of their decline whereas we have had 1 X 5th placed finish in the last 10 years.

How are we "much bigger at the time of implosion" than Newcastle or Leeds.

We are, and have been, the bigger club but not by a massive amount as we haven't done much of note for 25-35 years. Leeds had been a lot closer to the top and title winners far closer to their decline than this one for us.
