Ok how do I know if there’s cables in the part of wall I wanna drill?

Is there a tool I can use? The sockets at the bottom of the wall so guessing the wires are running along the skirting board or straight up!?

Any danger of someone who does diy giving some serious info would be boss. Forum subscriber here

Turn your leccy off in your house before doing any sort of drilling into walls. Once you've finished, best of luck when you turn it back on.

Contact the planning department of your local council and ask for the plans of your property…. Failing that just use no more nails
