…not sure about that, Andy. A good player finds a way to link, you know your teammate & you you work out how to play to each other’s strengths regardless of what your best position is.
i think Gordon’s mentality is lots about what he can do when the ball is played into him. He wants to be a top p,Ayer and tries to do something to prove he’s good. I think he needs to simplify his game and just try and be effective.
I dont thinkt hat directly links with partnerships though. Gray I dont want anywhere near the team but Gordon needs to be in and out of it until he finds that consisentcy fo when to be simple, when to attack directly etc.
It's hard to link up with your full back when they dont get forward though, I dont think we will see any winger link with a full back apart from Patterson, who actively wants to attack and be involved.
As much as our attack is dreadful, our midfield dont seem to be cohesive either, which I put donw to how they are being laid out rather than the three individuals. Our attack improves if Patterson and
Mykolenko get forward with more bravery, how that affects our defence....
We can't go every game knowing we can defend but cant attack, we wont get enough points, simple as that.
