Mortimer's life got a lot simpler with Edward dying.

We will never know how or where Edward died but I don't think Mortimers account should be taken with anything other than a very large pinch of salt
Anyway I'm,fairly, confident that modern Edward won't get moved around various Royal households and castles until he disappears.
