...absolutely. No attempt to play the ball, it was a tackle of retribution. I’m sure Son meant no harm, but the consequences of the tackle have to be taken into consideration when determining the punishment. It was a deliberate foul and it has to be red because of the outcome.
if a driver drives without due care and attention he gets points, but if the outcome is a 3rd Party injury, then the punishment is more significant.
Yeah rules are rules ie you can't tackle from behind /the side with no intention of playing the ball thus endangering a fellow professional. No amount of crocodile tears can absolve a player of recklessly potentially ruining a players career.Yeah, but rules are rules. It’s a contact sport and sometimes accidents will happen. Don’t think he deserves getting dragged over hot coals for it.
THIS.....in buckets. We are an utter doormat of a football club
Dont be sillyWhat happens if you push a player and he falls over. Its a standard yellow card BUT
Are most of you seriously arguing that the ref should wait a minute or 2. If the player gets up uninjured it stays a yellow - play on.
If he stays on the deck and says hes done his leg and cant carry on its RED?
