I still waiting for an explanation, anything? From anyone about how this retrospective on field punishment based on players injuries is going to work.

Injury aside it was a deliberate lunge from behind, pretty sure that type of tackle was outlawed years ago.

Hilarious that some people don't think a deliberate lunge from behind with the sole intention of tripping up a player that resulted in a break isn't a foul or red. Absolutely baffling.

Question shouldn't be if it was a red or not, but if a 3 game ban is sufficient....
Reckless tackle resulted in a player breaking his ankle, and we've lost a key player for the season......there's no grey area here..

Not often I agree with Stan Collymore but think there is a bit of truth in his comments in the press today.

He said he found it uncomfortable watching Sons reaction saying he realised how bad his tackle looked and the injury and knew that there might be some comeback on him so went into his crying reaction to stem any comeback.

Looking at th national press it seems to have worked for him. Not much about Gomes but Son is getting helped to get over the trauma of it all.

It is just about making sure that he realises he didn’t go out there to hurt anyone, he thinks that people may see that in him, but it is not the case.

What a ridiculous line. How can anyone else possibly know what his intention was? If Son is conscious of people seeing intention 'in him' then maybe he needs to talk about that.
