Further to my previous post, I’ve decided to go six months without alcohol from tomorrow so god knows how I’ll cope then!

Most are used to it.
I only get enjoyment when we win ,a defeat ...I just laugh and apologise to my family for forcing that shower on them .

It’s sometimes even difficult to get complete enjoyment when we win these days, simply because you know the next poor performance or bollocks up is only just round the corner.

I'm on 13 months now mate, my advice if you're going out is find something you can enjoy as much as the ale

I did four months earlier this year and actually enjoyed it so just trying to get back to that really. Six months will be the longest direct spell without a drink since I started drinking so looking forward to achieving it. I imagine it will be like Takeshi’s castle for me, with the club throwing results obstacles at me

Have you tried the 0 percents mate? I quite like them myself, the laws on zero percent beer in the UK mean they've got actually less alcohol in than bread or vinegar (0.05 percent).

No not tried them but to be fair I didn’t need them last time, only four months but it was easier than I thought it would be some I’m comfortable doing the same again. I may try those for those ‘pinch point’ occasions you get like Christmas.
