Gazza earned 57 caps during his England career and has been described by the National Football Museum as 'the most naturally gifted English midfielder of his generation'.
He is best known for being reduced to tears after receiving a yellow card in the semi-final against West Germany when he was part of the England squad who reached fourth place in the 1990 World Cup.
Since then he has released three autobiographies, battled alcoholism and mental health issues and unexpectedly hit the headlines again in 2010 when he appeared at a stand-off between the police and gunman Raoul Moat.
Also on the night there will be a comedian, a sports memorabilia auction and raffle.
Tickets range from £35 to £85. Upgraded 'gold' and 'platinum' tickets offer perks like priority seating, a meal and the chance to have a photo taken with the football icon.
