You would assume he’s getting a pay rise along with the move, which considering he was rumoured to be on around £100k per week with us (reportedly a reason WHU backed off originally) that’s quite the outlay from Villa.

Amadou Onana has joined Aston Villa on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder, who joined Everton from Lille in August 2022, made 75 appearances for the Blues, scoring four goals.

He had previously had spells with Hamburg and Hoffenheim in Germany.

Everton thanks Amadou for his service and wishes him well for the future.
