If the shoe was on the other foot they'd be acting the same way, remember the Wimbledon game and the going down parties, remember how they wanted Blackburn to beat them to stop Utd winning the league. There's countless cases of them behaving like A'holes.

Nobody wants the direct rivals winning anything, why would you?

Go even further back mate after we won the league in 1970 they played a testimonial at Anfield for Gerry Byrne then loads of them went on the rampage in the roads surrounding Goodison smashing windows and car windscreens singing "you can stick your [Poor language removed] title up your arse"
so if anyone tells me im bitter I would agree with them.
We should bend over and take up the hoop from City on Saturday ,sometimes you can win even if you lose.

It's also the same when I used to be informed, I was jealous of the mags.

I used to kindly inform them, by the grace of god, I'm not one of them. I would rather be watching Sunderland in the northern premier league than be mag.

I was never jealous of them one bit. I did laugh at them from time to time (losing cup finals, throwing away 456 point leads).

In all fairness mate, Everton fans used to do the same back then at anulfied on the last home match of the season. Maybe not the windscreen smashing of cars though.

It would seem 44 years has not improved their manners, just ask the 70 year old lady man city fan hit by the brick thrown through the mini bus window she was travelling in after losing to them at anfailed, yes brenda humility indeed......

I'm on the other side of the world - They will be all over the place even here if they win. It was bad enough when they beat Man City the other week - the reporters were so happy.

Who could possibly forget the scenes outside the stadium in Athens when they stole tickets off their fellow fans..

Nah......I have flipped my stance now we are out the CL race.

Sod it....I can't bear the thoughts of them winning the league.

Come on Citeh.

I'm getting there now. Hoping for another victory parade going past my flat in manchester this season....as long as we get our point/win against hull mind.

Quite like the old school city fans around here too which is a bonus, they don't have the sense of entitlement the two red teams in the respective cities have just yet

The old school City fans were always more than sound. A lot of the old United fans too.

Both from solid working class socialist backgrounds. Both have known suffering, it levels a fan.

When we talk about the 90s being bad...what they had to deal with is crazy.

Back on topic anyway, it'll be interesting to see how barkley plays, a younger local lad. Hibbert too could be quite funny if we end up giving him a run out

When Everton fans are reduced to hoping for Newcastle to do us favour, we have DEFINITELY hit rock bottom. What a horrid team they are. The City contest provides me with a moral dilemma but I shall 'stand the test' and trust EFC to go all out for a win. We should insist upon that.
If however, after that earnest endeavour, they lose, I shall not be inconsolable.

Dilemma solved!
