Allardyce axed after Leicester

It’s not going to happen, we are a circus as it is, and this would make it worse.

We need to get behind the players from now on until the end of the season and hope the board sort this mess out.

The crowd need to be up for it on Wednesday, but the team need to start on the front foot for that to happen.

Deeply disturbing thread...

Wanting Everton to lose, never did I think I would hear so called fans utter such ridiculous & unsupportive views...

I agree. It is disturbing that we have fans who want to get hammered by Leicester and gamble on a new manager.I hope to God the owners aren't stupid enough to sack a manager after 9 weeks in which he has improved the league position including some tough fixtures against 4 of the top 5.There is still a chance that we could get relegated with the instability caused by a sacking and poor appointment
We live in an instant gratification society but I'm afraid we have to give football managers a lot longer than 2 months. For me the job this season is to avoid relegation, and we start to realistically judge him next Autumn after he has had a summer on the training pitch and the summer transfer window.
This guy is a better manager than Moyes or Martinez in my opinion as we will find out given time

I am 100& with you on this one mate ;)

, back in the late 70,s , I despised Gordon Lee as did a number of Evertonians but the supporters I knew never would dream of wanting Everton to lose to get him shunted , or look at rehashing a rendition of " We All Hate Leeds - TO We all Hate Lee and Lee - we all ******* hate Lee

You’re telling me that in world football that fat tool is our only choice?

Got it wrong Mate, not is but was. Go back to the weeks after RK sacked, messed around for 6 weeks with Unsy hen the blow up over Silva. Now who else was in there, go on out names out instead of speculating that there is/was a queue of managers and I do not mean Giggs or Neville. Allardyce really was the only one available as I said who else was there to deal with our mess.

Again come up with names and that they were available.

Especially wanting to lose this match on the eve of a visit to Arsenal.

There is every possibility we will take no points from these next two games

I personally think one point, home to Leicester, is what will happen.

That being the case, chances are we are going to be right back in the mire come Saturday night week.

He's spent £50m. Regardless of how insane the market has gone, if £50m is "limited funds" then the sport is about to die.

Well mate the truth is we do not know what the transfer budget is limited to. ATM can see no evidence of other signings so is it limited to the two taken on board?

We hated it when Gordon was appointed, Mike.

It was a very unpopular choice.

But by Jove we had some exciting football under him.

The first few months of his tenure, in winter/spring 1977, was a very vibrant time what with the Villa Trilogy and the great Clive Thomas Robbery.

And those first two full seasons under him saw some of the best football we have seen at Goodison outside of Title winning teams..... Dave Thomas, Big Bob and the rest.

Long unbeaten runs in both and being in the thick of the Title chase most of the season.

No sir, I was among those whom decried Gordon at first but he won me over and I retain fond memories of the Gordon Lee era ;)

I don’t want anymore panic moves made by this board. Let’s hope we’ll win and BFS will steady the ship and we can get rid in the summer.

Imagine who would they hire next? Steve Bruce?

This is the trajectory we are on now.

Sam broke the ice for that group of serial failures whom make up the managerial merry go round and Everton is now a realistic destination for Bruce, Hughes and the rest.
