Obviously it would be a massive game changer if he decides to sell up at Arsenal and come here, but how about this for a theory: He is already underwriting Moshiri at Everton.
We've already been told we can compete financially with any club now and that doesn't tally up with the personal wealth of Moshiri. Unless he spends it all or has more hidden somewhere.
Now you're probably thinking at this moment why would someone who owns a chunk of another club want to help create a direct rival and perhaps devalue his own shares by doing so, that would be crazy right?
However if we go back to the open letter that both he and Moshiri penned crying for more investment at Arsenal (at the point they were paying back the stadium and had a lock on the wallet) could it be that they want to prove to the Arsenal board and fans that you can have a successful team whilst building a new stadium?
If that happens the fume amongst the cucumber sandwich brigade will be substantial, knowing that one of their previous investors has managed to overtake them with another club. Perhaps then there will be enough pressure applied to the board via supporter protests etc. that will either change the make up of it (= a place on the board for Usmanov) or cause Kroenke to sell up allowing him to become the majority shareholder.
Effectively after this happens he can gain back any money (or profits seeing we were cheap to buy) by instructing Moshiri to sell Everton.
Imagine you owned a second hand car dealership and the person you started it with and helped make wealthy, leaves and starts up another one down the road with a nicer forecourt and has better, more reasonably priced cars.
You wouldn't be happy would you? and likely that person wouldn't be your friend anymore. Something is a bit fishy with all of this... of course the above may mean that Usmanov is coming afterall. Fingers crossed eh!
