Sigurdsson "deserved" a start and Bernard "deserved" to get subbed on but neither put us in good shape to win the match today.

I get why managers want to do that but if your game is going to be playing the guys who deserve it then you can't also for example give Pickford indefinite mulligans. Otherwise you've got to make decisions with a longer view and on the basis of what the team needs on the day.

Like I mentioned, you've got to have squad depth because without it, players who just aren't performing (such as Richarlison and its happened with Pickford and Gylfi numerous times) will continue to be played.

He does run with the ball though, unlike anyone in the midfield did last night.

Alex Iwobi should have started on the right against Fulham, if only to give some protection to Seamus Coleman who shouldn't have started the game in the first place, to be fair.

He epitomises all thats wrong with this club. Coasting on expensive wages and never once drags a team up.

We can't get the ball up the field and Iwobi is pretty decent at that part of the game, especially when he isn't pinned to the right touchline, so he really could help one of our major problems.

He wasnt playing. So instantly turned into our Ronaldinho.
Has turned up about 5 times in 18 months.

Actually think he’s been ok this year. He’s inconsistent but at least carries the ball forward from time to time.

Nothing was working. I would have thought of giving him a go at half time . Put him on the right, Richarlison left, King up top and James in the 10. Worth a shot, we were getting beat, have try something.
