Alan Shearer says Everton are favourites for 4th

Quite frankly if Alan Shearer isn't saying what a good job Moyes has done on a small budget i'm not interested in what he says.

I'm gutted he didn't say it last night, he must have spent all week trying to think of something else to say about us.

So I've just figured out the table for 2012 (January 1 - now). We're 3rd on 55 points, 5 points ahead of Arsenal, 8 ahead of Spurs and (wait for it)...(...)...(get ready to laugh)...(GET. READY. TO. LAUGH.)...26 points ahead of Liverpool.

Personally I think we're our own worst enemy. I don't fear any of the teams currently below us, and I think we've proven in the past that we can paper over cracks in the team during injury crises.

It's in our hands really.

So 7th it is then.

Ultimately this is what it comes down to. Pyschology plays a huge part in sport; we are CAPABLE of finishing 4th, but whether we have the mental strength to do so is a different matter.

Their fans must make the bookies millions. I remember one of their fans put £50 on them to win the league this season hahahaha

Was talking to my mate, whos one of the managers at Bet 365 head office. He was telling me that the bookies have a laugh to see how many Liverpool fans bet on certain things. They regularly give them specials to lure them in. He says that Liverpool fans make the bookies more money than any other team in the UK, on a regular basis. That isn't just from BET 365, thats from across the industry.

Obviously people haven't looked at our end of season - we've got the annual choker at Anfield then West Ham doubtless in a survival scrap topped off by Chelsea going for the title at Stamford Bridge.

All pressure games and after 11 years we all know what happens with Moyes when the pressure's on.

7th to 9th.

What makes you think West Ham will be in a survival scrap?

Remember we were close to bottling it in 04/05, we lost half our remaining games past jan and got a massive tonking from Arsenal. We need that consistency thing to happen, dig in for the winter like. We got Arsenal, City and Tottenham in the space of relatively few days come december.

Man, if we for once could turn up with a team that aims at the last game of the season against chelsea to be a title decider! And not to bottle it. Ha.

If we can beat both Arsenal and Spurs in the upcoming games I really will begin to believe its possible. Giving away too many soft goals at moment. we have to tighten up

Hsd says Everton are favourites for 1st. In her word.

No, I do think 4th is possible, if we don't count on it, it just may happen.
