Alan Shearer says Everton are favourites for 4th

Was listening to radio 5 live last night with chappers and motty, claridge etc and Motty says he thinks we will get 4th as well. In fact they were all biggin' us up, quite refreshing, although i'm not getting carried away until april if we are still 4th.

Why the **** do they keep going on about our squad depth and how we'll collapse around February?

January is when we get it together and start smashing teams. All this tiredness bollocks doesn't wash with me. One of the main reasons we get it together second half of the season is our superior fitness levels courtesy of Moyes' insane training drills. Stay injury free and we will be fine. None of this fatigue or squad rotation ****. It's never affected us. I actually think we could cope with one or two injuries. I think if we lost Baines we might be in trouble but who knows, Oviedo could come in an do a great job, he's looked promising. Goalkeeper is also an area of concern, would love to buy Butland, but I don't think Mucha is all that bad.
If Coleman is otu we've got Hibbert; Duffy and Distin as backup for Jags and Heitinga; Gibson and Neville as backup for Osman and Fellaini, with Barkley to return on loan; Naismith and Anichebe as backup for Jelavic (I think we'll see the best of Naismith upfront)

I guess the only problem is keeping Pienaar and Mirallas as our creative players fit. We may be able to cope without one if we have the other, but not both (see second half at home to Liverpool). If those two stay fit it is all down to form.

We,d get smashed in the CPL with our back 4. If we got in we ,d have to buy a major upgrade at CH and RB.

not forgetting a dam good reserve keeper to challange the 1st team keeper.

Its in our own hands, we've shown already we've got the quality to absolutely destroy teams with some beautiful football.

It will be easier to judge after December tho, some massive games coming up, but if we can go on a run and beat spurs and arsenal at home, hopefully along with Reading and Norwich youd like to think we'd be sitting a lot prettier

Bringing in a centre mid in january is also crucial, Gibbo doesnt look like he will give us an extended run in the side and Neville in CM is an awful option. Would like another striker in Jan as well cos we're a little light there even though I think Mirallas could play there if Jela was injured

Just because we always have a good second half to the seaon doesnt mean we will this year either, but if we can turn in more performances like we did against Fulham and actually put the ball in the net we will be fine!

Arsenal - Evens
Spurs - 5/2
Everton - 4/1
Liverpool - 7/1

So, no, were not favourites to finish 4th, just in case your interested ?

SUPPORT AND BELIEVE

Tottenham - Have lost their most creative player in Modric and are in transition with Villas-Boas

Arsenal - Have lost the best striker in the league who kept them where they where last year in Van Persie and also there most creative player in Alex Song

Liverpool - Are also a team in transition, relying on too many youngsters with no stregnth in depth and have turned into a one man team with Suarez.

Everton - Good team familiarly no key losses during the summer and good acquisitions with Pienaar and Mirallas. And if they league started in January we would of finished 3rd, this shows our form is continuing... Say we did lose the Liverpool game we should of won the Newcastle game based on reffing decisions we are behind one point as it is. As well as the Fulham game which we definitely should of won amongst others, I feel as though we should really be second. But its the going behind 6 times and coming back to win and draw... that's champions spirit, team spirit, never say die attitude and its that that will get us there.

Shearer has a point but he also has a point as saying " As long as we don't get too many injuries"
