Doh! Just saw this too. I hope it's not a big deal. I've had fluid oon the knee a couple of times, nothing a little rest and rehab couldn't fix.

Now I'm no Doctor....but what the hell is fluid on the knee and how does it relate to him being injured?

Is he likely to miss the Blackburn game?

Probably a club inspired injury call to keep him safe and not get him injured in a non descript pointless friendly.

Definitely. I bet all these players that are "injured" for this england game will feature for their respective clubs come the weekend.

Except for the ones that were already injured when Mclaren picked them (Owen)

I think its a disgrace that players are pulled from International games whenever there are friendlies. I personally think friendlies should be scrapped in mid-season, but then I also think that managers should deny players call up rather than do all this underhand fake injury tactics.

Just seems dishonest.

Well lets be honest that would be AJ's 5th Game in two weeks if he played that one and Blackburn...I think its more about him being Match fit for Blackburn then anything else. Mind you that plonker McLaren would only probably [Poor language removed] him off for 70 minutes then when he comes on play him wide right...

Well AJ plays more wide for Everton then he has done for England recently. But I do agree McClaren is a tit, always has been always will.

But it used to be an honour to represent your country, now it just seems like problem games.

Its against Germany, you would think they would all want to play in that game, but there we go.

I thought this was gonna be another "Moyes Out" type of thread.

"Wow, someone already slagging AJ..."

Whew, glad to be mistaken.

I'm not too bothered by the injury because he was training with the squad today, just glad the Germans don't get a chance to kick [Poor language removed] out of him:P
