Transfer Rumour Ainsley Maitland-Niles

I know that this link isn't necessarily the most exciting in recent times. However , I think that he is exactly what we need.
I regard him as a bit of a latter day Phil Neville.
Can play in either full back position , and across the midfield. Will become a really useful member of the squad , and give us cover in a number of positions. When our usual slew of injuries arrive , we would be well served to have him here.
Except that the only thing Phil Neville was good at was pointing. He was the definition of "average PL footballer". If his brother wasn't Gary he wouldn't even have been a footnote.

I have no idea why but I have an intense dislike of him. Probably because he was sulking when we beat United on penalties, or the fact he was almost literally undroppable until we ballesed up a chance to go to a FA Cup final or the fact that he was a lackey.

I really liked Neville … don’t even care.

We were linked with Maitland-Niles a few seasons ago and I am a bit of a fan of a utility player (maybe you don’t need them quite as much as you used to)
