One of our better players today. Nice one 'Geads.

Also, where did this "he can't cross" lark come from? His balls into the box are often superb.

I must have watched a different game today, I thought he was fairly poor. Not the worst performance I've seen but nowhere near man of the match, Mirallas Coleman, Barry, and Barkley all had better games.

He looked okay going forward but was atrocious at defending, I remember several points in the game where we were on defense, and he was marking open space with no one around him and no chance of being goalside of a player if the pass did come his way. He was clearly at fault for the first goal and it seemed like in the second half Swansea were picking on him by attacking down that flank. Especially when he's playing in front of coleman he needs to improve the defensive side of his game.

I think it's possible that he will come good but he needs to drastically increase his fitness, improve his discipline, and focus on developing the defensive aspects of his game. In a Martinez team an attacking player who cannot defend is a huge liability unless he's in one of the top two positions (which is why our team has only looked good with Osman in it when he's played in the hole)

Yes, I think you did.

Unfortunately Kevin was awful again today apart from the assist.
Thought McGeady showed a lot of promise, didn't think he had any end product before today, but it was nice seeing someone actually try and play a through ball for once!!!

On the ball he looked very good I thought. Ghosts past players at walking speed it seems.
Has a lot to learn/get used to before he becomes a regular and a good premier league level player. I've no doubt he will too :-)

Really important for wingers to be able to beat their man, as sometimes it means they get the cross in, and sometimes it means they drag another player out of position which frees up a striker. Sure he might be frustrating but wingers are allowed to be because they're the most creative.

On ya Geads, I prefer you to Pienaar already.

McGeady had a decent game yesterday, looked good going forward on both wings and always positive looking to play the ball forward, with a few more games under his belt he could become an important player for us.

I like all the little tricks and flicks he does. Just needs to get some end product out of that, which I think he did yesterday.

completely agree. Some on here were suggesting "his final ball" wasn't good enough before he signed for us. No sign of that so far! His delivery has been excellent!

It's about consistency with him, it always has been, the people commenting on him who didn't rate him all pretty much said that (myself included), judgement can be made after a proper season not in cameos like

Maybe he's at the age he'll turn the promise in to consistency? I like the lad, and he's entering his 'prime.'

Hope he does mate, dont mind being proved wrong if it means we benefit like, he seems initially at least to be fannying around less ans trying to be more a team player than ive seen before though which is a step in the right direction.
As i said doing it week in week out without slipping into his old habits will be the key to his sucess or not now.
