After a new laptop

Our laptop is getting a bit knackered so we are looking to update. Had a look around the net and not being to computer savvy it was a bit of a mare, so thought I would get some idea's from you lot on here.

We're happy to spend around £400, it is me who mainly uses it as the missus has her work one and my lad has his apple one. I tend to use it for general use, coming on here (obviously) and just searching and pottering about on the internet. I don't do office and all that stuff. We do download family pics etc onto the one we've got now.

So just wondering if anyone could give us a few pointers. Cheers.

Just get a notebook if its just for web browsing or netflix etc. No point sending loads on processing speed etc if you dont need to.

Cheers mate. For some reason we let our lad talk us in to getting the apple macbook air so he can use it as well for his Uni work because his old laptop is a bit crap as well now, so we have ordered that. We did get a discount on it with him being a student like so that was a bit of a bonus.

They're a smashing bit of kit so if you got a discount happy days.

I'd say you'll end up with his knackered old laptop.

Not sure if PC world still has their in-house tech department if they do avoid that place like the plague they are clueless and expect everyone else to be
i bought a Samsung laptop from there for my dad and had nothing but problems with it from day one backward and forwards it went to the manufacturer 3 times never fixed the issue in the end i went above them spoke to the manager and got a replacement

I get it people want to buy from the high street but just go to Amazon look for what you need read the reviews if you don't like it just send it back
life is too short

This is what I was saying to the missus about his motives into talking us into buying the apple one mate.

His old one is the apple pro, we bought it for him about 6 years ago and he said it's playing up now, supposedly the screen just keeps going green when he's using it, that's what he's telling us anyway. lol
