Allardyce was never going to play him though, so this loan has been the best thing for him. I agree we should have kept him but we didn’t, so there’s no point hoping he’s going to fail in his loan spell and not improve while he’s there. That’s what loans are for.

Blessing in disguise him going there, will come back more experienced and confident. Staying around listening to Sam, not getting picked would of only shattered his confidence even more than it was..

But then in the next post you said you’d rather he made no impact while out on loan? I love the fact he’s smashing it and proving that he is up to the level required.

This season was a write off from October in terms of achieving anything and Lookman is going to be returning in pre-season a massively improved footballer. It’s been nothing but a positive move for him and that is ultimately going to benefit us.

Why doesn’t any journalist ask Sam if he was wrong when he said Lookman wouldn’t learn anything, or get a game over there? Well we know why, but you get me point.
