He's more than a likeable kid for Charlton fans, he's a shining light for our club in a stage of darkness.

It sounds dramatic but on social media today our fans celebrated that goal almost as much as any we've scored under this poisonous regime. It shows that despite the sh*t show that runs our club we will always produce some of the best in this country.

Ade was made in Charlton but I hope he shines in Everton.

Doesn't sound dramatic at all mate, you gave him his chance to shine and you've every right to be buzzing today watching him grab his first goal. That was literally our first ever look at him, beautiful finish and I was absolutely made up for the kid.

All the very best for the rest of the season as well mate

Looks a player doesn't he?
And Big Rom has taken a very obvious shine to him which is great to see.

Only downside was reading that he is a Utd fan, Ronaldo is/was his idol and he wants to play in Spain for Barca or Real at some point. Ambition or what!
Nothing wrong with ambition and if he's to fulfil it he has to be banging them in left, right and centre for us.

Really hope he turns out to be as good as we want him to be. To show the composure to finish that shot on a day that must have been hugely overwhelming to him is a VERY good start.

I need more than five minutes to appraise this lad. Bring him on in the final ten minutes next week and if he scores again I'll consider keeping him on. He seems a bright fellow and well built for a fourteen year old.

Truly remarkable performance today from Lookman. To come on and play like that in your first Premier League game aged just 14 years old is really outstanding.

Get it right lads, he turned 15 on Friday

A lot of people have ignored his first touch for his goal, great take down and a great finish. Hopefully he can help us win at Charlton's rivals Palace next week. Funny some kid at the match, said he looked about 12 which I can't disagree with. He will probably struggle against the more physical teams, but personally I think we could of a good player here. He doesn't seem to have the arrogance of some new players, plus he has players like Coleman, Holgate, Barkley and Davies to help him get used to life at Everton for a young player.

im thinking he will be great at winning us free kicks in great positions. as he's so slight he will be getting knocked around and pushed over really easily, and as we know the game and the refs favour that thesedays. could be a great asset for us.
