Absolute Legend Carlos Ancelotti

If he hadn’t have jumped ship at the first chance he got, we wouldn’t have had to.

Look at it rationally. Go back to Real and have another bash at winning the European Cup? Or stay at Everton and try to turn the likes of Tom Davies and Mason Holgate into semi-decent footballers?

Tbf I am also 100% convinced he knew of the financial troubles coming down the track and felt misled by Moshiri. He did exactly what anybody with a lick a sense would have done really, which is get far away from this club.

Of course he knew about the financial nuclear winter he had inadvertently walked into. Only a fool without options would have stayed and put up with Moshiri's lies. He proved how right he was by going on to win two more Champions Leagues. Carlo's acquisition and loss summed up Moshiri. He meant well, had genuine ambition, but always promised more than he could actually sustain. Losing Carlo was a bit like Jim Bowen on Bullseye going "Here's what you could have won".

I think a lot of days go by without Carlo thinking about Everton even once. Can't imagine he really cares about this club.
And? I think this is a crap yardstick, if I’m being honest.

But he’s how old now? And so not going to be here for very long, most likely.

What we really really need is someone to come in and stay for a good while and make us into a force again.

Like what “Jürgen” did for the other lot.

We still didn't have to.
To the most successful side in football history

I still can’t get my head around the collective adulation of someone who slung us at the first opportunity.

Yes I liked him during his tenure but I have a hard time fawning over him at this point.

Have some self respect.

He also sued us later on a one season ok performance move on ...

Which was never made public other than general commercial arrangements.
Honestly got no issue with it. Real Madrid came up again. A year later he's winning the Champions league with them. Managers that class it can be about timing. We got him coz of the situation at Napoli. If Zidane hadnt had a trophyless season at Real Madrid would he had stayed at Everton.
But at the end of the day. Its Real Madrid.
Weird as sh!t season anyway.

I mean I didn’t do any of this I just said the club weren’t forced to hire Benitez 😂
