Its mental how many of these complaints about Doucoure could literally be used to describe Gueye, but aren't. Most don't even a name an individual in the post, which makes it even easier to use interchangeably.

I guess there is 1 criticism that couldn't be aimed at both players.

Doucoure has zero goals and assist in league play. He's started 17 of the 18 games he played in.

I would argue back that hardly any of them have been as a 10, certainly this season. He has been mostly utilised as a CM, either in a 2 or a 3.

He did play as a 10 on Wednesday, and its the highest we have pressed all season. Admittedly, he has a poor 1st touch, as does Gueye, but at least Doucoure attempts to move forward and carry the ball to get us up the pitch, something the rest if the team is seemingly incapable of.

He's absolute dross, that chance against Arsenal where he somehow messed up a simple chance. Sadly like a lot of players now, he's somehow made a living despite not actually having any control of ball, or any actual skill. What exactly does he do? He doesn't score, he doesn't create chances, he isn't good in air. I'm convinced you could just give any fella 4 cans of red bull and they could do same thing as Doucore.

10 of the matches hes played behind the striker. We have also scored a grand total of 2 goals in those matches.

We scored 13 goals in the 10 matches he didnt.

chiesa has scored the same amount of goals as him and has only played 158 minutes of football this season

doucoure has 1 goal in 1511 minutes almost 10 x more minutes and has played 6 times as a CAM in the prem
