2023/24 Abdoulaye Doucoure

Can’t believe how well he’s played under Dyche, to be honest.

I’d also argue that he’s looked better technically this season. He seems neater on the ball, and that goal and the strike that hit the woodwork were both really gracefully executed.

It’s like he’s come to terms with how long his limbs are and figured out how to get them to do what he wants.

Not quite there yet I reckon. Hopefully by the time he's 34 he'll work it out completely. But yeah hes all over the pitch and a real goalscoring threat

He has consistently been a 1 in 3 player since Dyche arrived

5 in 15 appearances last season

2 in 6 appearances this season

He's 10th in the league in terms of xG this season

He isn't easy on the eye at times, but I'd be hard pushed to disagree that Dyche has made him a pretty effective player

Interesting to see what we do with him this year. 31 in January and contract out at the end of the season. If he can keep his energy levels then I don't see him being a player where age would limit him. Considering how well he's played under Dyche I wouldn't be against maybe 2 year + 1 option deal for him, would have to be on reduced wages though.

I would like to see someone else brought in as cover/competition for Doucoure. Someone better technically and better in possession. If it’s not Deli Alli, then someone else in January. I’ve no problems with Doucoure still being a part of the squad for the next few seasons.

Just saw this on Facebook. wow.
