Really happy with this one, given a fee of £27m. He won't need any adjustment time and will slot straight in I'd have thought.

If we play Allan and Doucoure in a 2, I think they'd complement each other really well.

Having a player like Allan alongside Doucoure would give the latter licence to drive forward with the ball and make runs into the box as he likes to. Meanwhile, Doucoure taking on a lot of the offensive work would allow Allan to sit deeper and just volley anyone who gets close to our box.

And they can both play. One thing that people seem to say about Allan is that besides his defensive qualities, he has a great touch and passing range.

A high energy midfield will lessen the burden of wide players tracking back. We can afford to let them lurk higher anticipating a quick break. Completely changing the way we play next season.
