Transfer Rumour Aaron Wan-Bissaka

If we think tactically, we can have an asymmetric attack. On the right if we keep N’Diaye his task will be to drive at the left back and AWB will support as necessary and provide security. If we get an overlapping full back on the left to play with Grealish we offer a different kind of threat down that side, kind of like when Pienaar and Baines operated on the left.
Give it a rest mate no-one is feeling your love for Wan-Bissaka

As Moyes' biggest fan @JobForTheMoyes is actually spot on about AWB in 2024/2025 season

He was rated as West Hams best performer by their fans and stat boffins with 2 goals and 5 assists.

No injury issues until now, just 'ill'.

However, the season just gone he was dropped and seems to have had issues. Whether personal or with the manager.

If we got the 2024/2025 player for a couple of years then we'd be laughing.

Zat, if we buy him it will be because Moyes will want us to be pragmatic and I'm sick of this thinking pervading our club. What other 'progressive' club would buy him? Answer is none

Smart signing at that price. His assists aren't amazing but just having a right back capable of getting up to to create space will be a huge difference. Also how many times do we see JOB get skinned on the right. This fella will stop us leaking as many.

Defensively he is elite and offensively he is only OK, which is due to his final ball. His dribbling and running is actually good.

This season was not his best season as West Ham were a mess and were under lots of pressure. Potter made them a mess defensively.

But last season he led all Premier League defenders with 66 interceptions and 64 successful dribbles, scored 2 goals and made 5 assists in 36 starts.
Well there you go then, offensively not up to the job, so shouldn’t even be on the list . Having very defensive full backs has killed us for a few years

Why would We be laughing? , it’s no different to soucek, if they were better players they wouldn’t be at West Ham. AWB failed at a big club, why should we be touching them. I watched Villa batter Liverpool with 2 full backs going forward and creating chances, after 5 yrs of wanting quality attacking full backs, going for a AWB would be a joke

Mykolenko is the example on the other side. Useless, but the mediocrity culture at this club is extending his contract.

Full backs are just as (arguably more) needed in attack nowadays. Having exclusively defensive fullbacks, without truly elite wingers, means that your attack will always be predictable and easy to stop. Which is true of us right now.

Exactly - his lack of agility was a massive headache in that end of season stretch. I’m amazed some people are so against such an obvious smart, cheap upgrade.

He’s nothing like Soucek - younger, quicker and played at a higher level.
