Seriously though, I've not seen a quality player recommended by the GOT massive since the days that Dutch Toffee championed Tadic.

I'm really starting to like the guy. However he'll be 28, is often injured and relies on pace for his game (on the plus side he's just good enough to not get picked by England which might be helpful for long term health). We are the oldest? side in the prem. I wouldn't get him unless it was 2M or under considering he'll probably command good wages. 5-6M is a pretty steep transfer fee for a non-striker in his late 20s. We need to get younger.

5-6 million is peanuts really. Won't even buy you a decent/proven Championship striker.
I think I made my point to use the 6 mill towards the larger fee of a more quality player...

It's all right. But I would still love to hear your awesome signing ideas. Realistic players....who would want to join....for a price we can afford. When you think about it we need a keeper, 2 wingers at minimum, another striker, and another center back unless Galloway is ready for next season. Wouldn't hurt to have a decent deputy for Coleman either but that's more just wish list. That's 5 players minimum we need to sign. Even at 6mil a pop were spending 30. Where is this unlimited fund coming from for all of these world beaters? 5 mil for Lennon, and I'd sign him tomorrow. He's been one of our best in every match he's played for us since joining on loan. Is he a Yarmolenko or even an Ayew? No, but he does a job and he makes the squad better. He helps Coleman as well.

Any ideas? I think we'll struggle to bring in the top class players that many think should have us challenging for the top 4. Who should we get? Silva? Hazard? Messi?

That would certainly make the squad a lot younger. Silva? Gomez the kid Gomez? Byram is a decent shout but can't say I've watched much of him this year. Looked decent from what I've seen, but it's curious he hasn't been picked up by anyone already. Is Karius any better than Joel? I have my doubts.
