A 5year Plan

I hear what you are saying mate but Fellaini is miles better than any of those players you have listed. He is our greatest ever player and to let him go for anything less than 35million would just be embarrassing.

He's not even the most important player in the current side IMO.

Although it works out that this season is the end of moyes last 5 yr plan, tbf to him I think it got pulled away from him a couple of seasons ago when he was forced to sell important players and had NO money for reinvesting. I'd say this season is the start of a new 5yr plan and I think he's wisely keeping the board on their toe's this season by not signing a new contract to make them back him with a bit of money before he does sign.

I'd say we're somewhere between 2-4 players short of serious top 4 quality. As bad as it sounds the key to us competing over the next 5yrs could be the sales of fellaini and Heitinga as that would give him massive money to bring in 4-5 very good players. Although dont get me wrong I'd love to keep the big fella, I don't see him being part of the next 5yrs.

As for success.. It all depends what he can do with the squad. At this present time yes we have a team that can beat anyone on its day but can also loose to most on our bad days also. The cups are a lottery... Look at arsenal 8yrs is it?

As said by others we need to build that winning mentality that utd ect have. They start most games 1-0 up. If they score against a Wigan ect it almost counts for 2 goals, those teams never really believe there gonna win against utd ect and if they do a goal changes that quickly. It's not the case for us yet... Wigans ect think they can beat us, we start level and a goal either way doesn't have the same affect. Iv seen signs this year from our team were starting to believe but we need to create that fear factor from others.

I'm not gonna say I expect cups over the next few years or see them as the team/club moving forward. You can be poor and win a cup as you can be ace and not! Although I would love one! For me to have been able to be actively bringing in players to improve the team and challenging the top 4 will be success. And IMO if we do that the cups will look after themselves anyway.

I want to see us win the league 5 times :) Realistically, I think we can become a regular Champions league team if all the dice roll in our favour. We need some of the younger players to make the breakthrough, even if they don't become first team regulars, they need to be good enough to be sold for a few million each to provide some much needed funds without weakening the squad. Players like Jack Rodwell. We also need to keep our top players and add a few more Jelavic's and Mirallas's - the 5-6M players who turn out to be 10-15M players.

I suppose a new ground and chairman would be pretty good too, if we find the right ones
