Over 11 years in charge only 4 clubs in the league have won more points than Everton.
These clubs have, on average, spent more than £50m a year than Everton on fees and wages.
City and Spurs have overtaken in recent years at a cost of around £100m a season in City's case and £50m a season in Spurs case.
In other words the difference Moyes makes to our performance costs other teams around £50m-£100m a season to better.

means nothing, its what you win or achieve at the end of the season that counts

we lose too many players to even acheive a "complete" team, to start a season. In the last few seasons we have lost lescott arteta and pienaar, had all of these players stayed who knows how far we could of gone or what we could of won.

and it looks as though fellaini has had wnough aswell despite about how happy he is.

You can tell we've got a local fanbase.

Typical scousers, always making bloody excuses as to why we've done [Poor language removed] all.

I agree....

Try telling that statement to Birmingham and Portsmouth fans

Evertonians taking it to the extreme again...

Why do we have to get relegated if we win a cup? It's never happened before and we've won a sh*t tonne...just because recently two sh*thouse clubs with a combined gate of about 30'000 dropped doesn't mean we will ffs.

this.

we normally get the portsmouth and birmingham scaremongering examples in defence of kenwright and his lies

Errrrrrrrrr.... Either i have read dixie7 post the wrong way or you need to go back and read the posts above again...

Its probably i read it wrong though

Because that's who we compare ourselves with???

Quim!!

We could try comparing ourselves to any other club with no money in which case we are doing very very well. The whole concept that we should by right be winning stuff irregardless of financial constraints is simply childish daydreaming, we all want to win something and I think under Moyes we will, he's gotten us to within 80 minutes of a cup once already but to say he's not been good enough because he hasn't won anything and to say the only thing that counts is silverware is mental.
It means that if we lost the final in the FA cup, League cup and Champions League and finished second in the league its no different that getting knocked out first rounds and finishing 17th.
The only thing that matters is progress, to what end we shall see but we want cups, we want wins and we want to be a giant club again. You cannot do that easily from the starting position Moyes was given and the funds he has been given to change things. To say it doesn't matter because he won nothing is very blinkered.
We have no money but looking at the difference Moyes has made to us, unless we get some he is probably our best chance of improving from where we are now to where the daydreamers think we are.
We all think we should be in the same place - winning things and ruling the football world as all fans do about their clubs.. But we are not and that is not down to Moyes, that we are even in the Premiership probably is though.

He's on about the two clubs you mentioned in a statement of "yeah but look what happened to X when they won something".

yeah because the 4 other clubs who have won more points than us since Moyes has been here have won something too..... and are still in the league. Those two i mentioned have disappeared......

What i was trying to say was that i would bet my mortgage that any portsmouth fan would gladly swap that trophy they won 4 years ago for MORE POINTS or equal to where we are today.

You're right there, and whilst we're being hypothetical (again) i'd gladly swap finishing in a place that doesn't get us into Europe with winning a trophy (and finishing in a place that doesn't get us into Europe...)

But hey ho, i'm clearly being chastised again for criticizing a manager who's "restored a bit of pride" in little old Everton and made them punch above their weight.
