What's the point moyes is a ****bag always has been always will be, we are a nothing club who the bloody hell wants to watch us except a dying number of evertonians, were spoken about like swansea, stoke and other crap clubs, aiming for 6th 7th in the hope of getting into europe just to be trounced 5_0 as soon as we come up against a mediocre team, this shows moyes capabilities,so i'd say stop with the who would do a better job crap and start asking who you want to replace the loser with.

[Poor language removed], lad. I want Moyes out, too but you don't speak about our club like that.

Averaging 7-8th over ten years.
I'll wager the net spend must be obscenely low too.

What more can he do without better backing from up top?

Moyes hasn't had significant cash to spend on players for a few years now.

Everton do pay decent wages, does our league position match what we spend on wages (eg, 7th highest wage bill, 7th position)?

£2.4m per year. But whisper it quietly. It doesn't fit in with some agendas.

That, TBF, is a very good point; the scenario would be top at christmas, finish 7th?

Footie, eh, dont you love it!

Off to BB with Mrs R, so peace out mate. x

RFUS, I have been looking for this exchange from last season for a few weeks now, and just stumbled on it. Well, lets see!

the answer to the OP - who knows.
would say it is not a miracle to get that record, and there is no trophy to show for it

Stats eh!

As someone said 7th with 7th highest wages, is it really that fab considering how it's been done?

If EFC is all about the Wimbledon and Coventry games I s'pose it is but if you know a bit more than that it's not really.

"Who (and suggestions must be realistic to our financial state) could have come in at any stage during the last 10 years and done a better job on the shoe-string budget DM has had to endure and work with?"

The answer is...who knows?

Because it hasn't happened.

These hypothetical (and defensive) arguments need to stop, without coming across all Rafael i'd rather deal with facts.

Moyes can't half assemble a great little squad with limited resources but can he get the best out of it? The answer is no, as sadly there's no trophy for "trying"...and that my friends is a...

"Facht!"
Do the hypothetical and attacking arguments need to stop as well or just the defensive ones?

Over 11 years in charge only 4 clubs in the league have won more points than Everton.
These clubs have, on average, spent more than £50m a year than Everton on fees and wages.
City and Spurs have overtaken in recent years at a cost of around £100m a season in City's case and £50m a season in Spurs case.
In other words the difference Moyes makes to our performance costs other teams around £50m-£100m a season to better.
