I don't think I'll ever forgive him for that semi final display.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I doubt it.

It'll take a hell of a lot for me to forget it, like.

It was that match more than anything that lost a lot of my sympathy for him, because we had a cup final, a european spot and petty local bragging rights all there for the taking. All we had to do was beat a poor team in poor form from a position of 1-0 up. And we bottled it. You can talk about finances all you like but on the day we had the better team and that shouldn't have happened.

yeah fair enough some of what you said is valid. The RS were actually ****e and in ****e form and we did bottle it etc....

All to do with Moyes though ?

Don't talk wet

Of course it wasn't 100% Moyes fault. But in the same way as Moyes would have taken the credit from people if we won, he takes the blame from people cause we lost.

3 games at Wembley under Moyes, 1 0-0 we win on penalties, 2 we lose 2-1 after being in the lead. That kinda backs up the theory people have that he doesn't have the balls to grab a game by the throat and have his team go for the win, and that his "keep what we have" attitude manifests it in 11 players too scared to try to win incase they lose.

Sure Chelseas were the better team and even with the head start we were gonna struggle, but the rs? Gifted a half time lead, bad luck see's us level but only 1 team looked like winning the game really, and it wasn't us.

Last year we lost to a team in much poorer form than us in the cup semi while winning all the league games around about which meant nothing, the year before we lost a championship side at home in the cup, while likewise tonking everyone in meaningless end of season fixtures.

You combine that with the derbies and I do think there's a dodgy mentality at the club under Moyes, where we choke and struggle when the going gets tough. Your actual elite managers, your Fergusons and Wengers would have found a way to win those games. Joe Royle probably would have done, actually.

I think Moyes is a decent manager, but until he can guide his team through semis and finals and produce big performances with the pressure on, he can't be considered a great. And we pay him the salary of a great and fans on here treat him like a great and to me he's just the step below that.

Which is a shame because as much as his team selections sometimes drive me batty, I like Moyes, I do. I just don't worship him and so I end up being much harsher on him then I would like in reply to those who do.

And those of us who understand Moyes and why we underperform in these big games were all predicting that the next game after that semi that we weren't expected to win would see us put in a top notch performance.

Man U 4 Everton 4.

It feels like after 9 years or whatever it is, moyes has finally decided to take the shackells off and remove the negative mentality.
