Today marks 40 years since Everton and Fortuna Sittard faced each other in the quarter-finals of the European Cup II. I have several photos from both matches, including some of Everton supporters in Sittard.

You travelled to Liverpool for the first game? It's the single biggest regret in my time as a Fortuna and Everton supporter that that one isn't on my list of matches I travelled to. Sadly only 13 years old at the time.

They indeed belong to the same selection. My father is the city archivist of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen, so through him, Fortuna (and I) have access to the photos.
