Maguire has been one of the best defenders in the league since Amorim got binned and I don’t think there’s many England CB’s who’ve performed better for their country at international tournaments

The Foden omission was to be expected, but if you were told in 2024 that he wouldn't make the next World Cup squad, you'd have thought he'd suffered a career-ending injury.

What a fall from grace for what I always felt was a hyped and overrated player. Talented, yes. But I always felt he lacked that underrated quality...brain.

He's had so many opportunities for England, and hasn't ever really taken them. 1 shy of 50 caps, and he's got 4 goals. That's woeful. Bellingham isn't far behind either. Whoever the three are behind Kane need to score a lot more than they currently do. Sterling was largely rubbish, but he got 20 goals for England. The likes of Bellingham and Rogers need to replicate that.

He’s definitely lucky to get in IMO but if you’re a tired defender who’s been playing in 30+ degree heat for 70+ mins you wouldn’t want to see him coming off the bench
