Out of both cups faster than Dale Winton in a closet, turgid dross on the pitch, new young signings very much off it, and a cowardly slow motion month-long capitulation that took in a last minute derby defeat and Seamus Coleman’s farewell tour to an empty arena.

Unhappily dissatisfied.
Looks a bit empty, Were you in a rush ?

4/10
The home form has been shocking. After all the struggles of the last few years I wasn’t expecting a massive improvement but it has to be better than what we’ve been served up. Continually shipping goals at corners due to poor marking.
Again, we’ve only beaten one of the relegated teams at home.
Again, we’ve gone out of the cups with barely a whimper.
Playing the Sunderland cup game at home in that navy kit was just crass money grabbing just after Christmas.

I’ve said incremental progress is what we’ve needed to manage our way out of the Moshiri mess, but we’ve soiled the bed at the thought of actually taking the first major step and ended up being no better off than we were last season.

Majority of the season being good ? Mate have you seen the home form ?

Yep, there were some bad games in there, but the next week we would play well and win. I think the majority of games we have played have been decided by fine margins, even some of the more heavier defeats

If we were losing the same amount of away games it would be a poor season, but on the whole and looking back I have had a very relaxed view of the season. For large parts of the season we have been in the top half, so by definition large parts of the season has been good (or at least positively content), no? That is what we were aiming for?

Now, the past few weeks we have been disappointing and it is only natural for people to lash out on recent events, as that is what the football fan mindset generally is, the here and now. Last game bad, we are bad, last game good, we are good. Also, it is normal for fans to only see negatives.

Maybe a 7 is a bit high, maybe 6.5 would be more apt. Glass half full guy here :).

5 out of 10.

Exactly what I expected from Moyes. Better then previous seasons, at no point was relegation a concern and some good away showings. None of that can offset the fact that we've been absolutely garbage at home, have crashed out of the cups early on and managed to bottle a potential European spot. I can't say I'm disappointed in it because like I said, its exactly what I expected from Moyes.

That's really not how it works, and overall this is a ridiculously one eyed view of how things have gone this year.

Over the course of the season if we finish 13th or 14th, it has not been a good season whichever way you want to try and slice it. No idea how you can rate the season a 7 if we finish the same or worse off than last season, which not a single sign of progression in any aspect of the football club.

5 for the fact that we were out of the relegation scrap , which after the stress of the previous seasons feels fantastic, but a clear missed opportunity for someting more. I can't really see us kicking on with these players and manager.
BUT, if the stars align and we send spurs down on the last day, I'd push that score up to a 6.5 or 7 just because of the dislike I have for what Spurs represent in football terms of being a "big 6" money club

No, on one eye there have been disappointing elements, on the other eye there has been a lot more positivity around the place. That is definitely 2 eyes.

It is not all bad and it is not all good, that is definitely how it works. I just believe that on the whole I have felt generally content, when averaging out the feelings of all games.

Try to see me as an annoying hippy friend who is always content with things, unless there is a complete disaster :).
