Personally I think the squad is good enough to finish above Bournemouth Brighton if coached to a better level, so for me it's more a manager problem.
The squad is pretty crap if we are honest. Especially with JB and Grealish out. Keane, Tarks, Myko, Jake, Tim, McNeil, Barry, Patterson, Alcaraz.. it’s just choc full of mediocrity at best.

Not many highlights to choose from. United away and the Chelsea game being the best moments. Honourable mention for Villa away too.

Terrible performance in the cup competitions and the usual misery from the derby. Throw in the fact most of our new signings have struggled as well.

Overall the squad is probably about the level it finds itself in the league. Beyond frustrating that we played ourselves into a position to get Europe and then imploded but a bad mix of some poor players and poor decisions from the manager over the last two months has cost us big time.

You can't start with that back 4 every week and expect it to go well. They are all nowhere near good enough for a team challenging towards Europe. Despite the fact the goals have picked up, Beto and Barry are also not at the level required to lead the line either.

If you'd asked me after the Chelsea game, I'd have given the season a 7. Today I feel like I'm being too positive giving it a 5.

Our bad players are really bad. That back 4 we've played with the last few weeks belongs in a relegation battle.

I don't know much about Bournemouth and Brighton but whenever I see them they never look like they're carrying players as poor as Mykolenko and O'Brien.

Had the team finished in the top 8 and secured a European spot then we would have been looking at an 8 or 9 out of 10. But given the disgusting failure over the past 6 games, a lot of which has been down to the manager, then I gave it a 4 out of 10 for avoiding a relegation scrap (terrible performances in the cup). Unacceptable to have not secured 8th spot given the position the team found themselves in after playing 31 games. 3 points from 6 games.

Michael Keane wouldn’t get a kick of the football for either of them. They wouldn’t even tolerate him as a bench warmer emergency cover CB. I wholly blame the manager and the football club for keeping him around and in the first team. I think someone at the club sees him as some sort of fans favourite/cult hero figure.

7 - Mainly because the majority of the season has been good. The last month has been disappointing but the season as a whole has still been a lot more relaxed.

The game is fine margins and the last month has shown that to a tea. A couple of things that go our way, penalties given, player mistakes and manager tweaks that may have been needed and we still look OK. In fact, all it would have taken is one or two of those games to have a little bit more luck, better finishing, competent officials and all those saying 4 would be saying at least 7, maybe higher.

It is those small things that gives me the sense we are well on the right track, maybe with a new manager, maybe not.

A 4 out of 10 for the league, due to the first half of the season being decent. But a 1 out of 10 for the cup competitions, so an overall 3 out of 10.

Not good enough whatever way you look at it

O’Brien isn’t a poor player when he’s played in his correct position, that’s what’s so frustrating about that back line.

Dyche wouldn’t play him, Moyes won’t play him in his correct position.

If we don’t sign a right back this Summer, every single club official needs sacking.

6 for me, and I think I'm being generous, but that's because of how good the away form has been.

The drop in form since Mar has been terrible, we had a real chance to have a half decent season if we could have picked up another win or 2. The squad is still really short on quality and I don't have much faith in the recruitment based on the last 2 windows. We pretty much need a full new defence and at least 1 more striker who can play a bit of footy and score some goals for us, it's a WC year though and we all know 'how much more difficult it is to sign players in a WC year'.

If we finish 13th then we’ve not improved from dyches full season 2 years ago. If we’d not have had the points taken off we’d have been 13th on 48, last season we were 13th on 48, we’re currently 12th with one game left and 49.

I voted 3. There's been absolutely no progression at all, which was all I wanted. The thought of watching this pedestrian guff again next season is not good. Several opportunities to kick on have been tossed away in predictable fashion. Seeing us win twice in 11 home games is pathetic.
