Some good away wins offset by some woeful home performances.

Would finally like to have a manager where the players look like they are actually being coached and not just through into a formation.

Only slightly better than last 2 seasons but that bar was low, very low.

4 - Golden opportunity pissed up the wall

I’m so disappointed we haven’t taken advantage of any of the opportunities we’ve had this year. Here’s an assorted list of frustrations

1. The worst RS team in ages, absolutely there for the taking both games - lost both
2. The easiest Europe race ever, might even go down to 9th place and our ‘rivals’ continually drop points right down to yesterday! - likely finish bottom half
3. Having money to spend for the first time in years and choosing to spend near £70m on Dibling and Barry
4. Not playing said £40m player Dibling meaning we had all that money we could’ve spent on a right back instead of playing JOB out of position all season, so he’s getting pelters unfairly (he’s looked a good centre back the two times he’s played in his position)
5. Bringing on Barry for Beto or Beto for Barry every single game this season and never trying any alternatives like Rohl, George, Alcaraz, Ndiaye, youth team ANYONE
6. Getting knocked out of both cups early

5. Right down the middle. We've nicked a few wins and chucked a few away. 2 points from last 15 killed everything. But tbh i dont think we're good enough for anything other than floating around mid table. We still cant play on the front foot with any real conviction and the defence struggles if not protected.
5 for a season of no worries.
2 for progression as there's been none really.

No semblance of a plan, no development of any of the younger players (in fact I would say we've probably set at least a couple of them back), out of the cups early, bottle job of management, boring football playing for a point no matter who the opposition or where, had the opportunity a month ago to push on but, you know, limitations.

….i’ve gone for 6. Season tailed off towards the end, maybe expectations were a little high because of our proximity to top 5 a month or so ago.

Signs of improvement especially given the re-build required last summer with so many out of contract. Despite demands for instant success, it’ll need more than 1 window. I’d be hoping to see further strengthening this summer. Who knows we might even get a new RB.

Key for me is watching my team create and be difficult to beat. Wins at United and Villa, we gave Arsenal a scare at their place and should’ve beaten City at home. Home form has been poor and I get the Managers accountability in that.

Disappointment in missing a Euro spot, I just felt key creative players form dipped at a crucial point. I do think Moyes needs to consider rotating players much more to keep things fresh. Rohl and Armstrong deserved more than being inactive for so long after their performance at Villa. George another who should certainly have started games.

I’m less critical of JOB playing RB despite his poor performance yesterday. I do think we coped quite well with the loss of Branthwaite for so long, overall Keane did fine as back-up. I’m sure the loss of Grealish had a big impact on the season outcome.

I’m sure we’re now in a transition from Gueye and to a lesser extent Tarkowski. We have the foundation to replace, Armstrong, Garner, Rohl, Iroegbunam can fill the CM for years come whilst Branthwaite/JOB are obvious CB successors. I would like to have seen more of Armstrong, I think he’s got genuine ability to pick a pass in possession.

Top 10 and cup runs is what Anus said was the objective this season. So comfortably bottom half and straight out of the cups is by his own definition a complete failure on every count. Come to think of it, I think my 4 might be generous.
That might be a touch of hyperbole.

We could still finish top 10 and until yesterday we were in with a shout for Europe. I suspect Angus will have been evaluating across the entire year, like a grown up.

Lower than a 4 and we'd be talking relegation and last years of Moshiri.

We're only disappointed so much as the expectations have been raised beyond where they have been - but a poor finish and poor cup run drop it down.

I’m factoring in that Spurs are going to bum us next week.

In our entire history, we've only ever had 2 worse seasons than this one at home.

Out the cup competitions to a relegated team/worst in Prem history at the time, and a newly promoted team.

I could have tolerated all that, but what made this season really stink and the biggest issue for me is spending a lot of money on players who didn't get any minutes/develop. We're giving McNeil/George minutes over Dibling.

Could have been an 8 if we hadn’t shot ourselves in the foot multiple times lately. 4 injury time goals against us in the last 5 games and in the other we led twice.

4.
