2019 Just Go Away Rant

Is this perhaps the worst 12 months to be a Blue?

Not content with punishing us with a Groundhog Moment of Injury Time Pain at The King Power - on the very anniversary of The Pickford Fail...

Now surely we've been handed another FA Cup battering at The Pit against the one team we all detest that - have gone unbeaten domestically for nearly a year. (Bar Charity Shield 'friendly')

Have won the CL thanks to another set of favourable draws and VAR. And are winning the PL by a country mile.

We - on the other hand - are cheated out of last season's FA Cup at Millwall.. cheated out of a result at Newcastle, cheated out of a win at Brighton, cheated out of a penalty Vs Spurs, hard done to at Leicester. ...

My New Year's Wish is that 2019 and most certainly 2020 are erased from our Collective Memory like a football episode of Eternal Sunshine of the Non Kopite Mind - where Houlding didn't rock up in Liverpool, buy the land on which The Hanging Field Football ground was built and make our lives a complete bummer.

To be honest, you could put this season in with the Koeman/Allardyce debacle and Martinez final season as an Everton that trilogy as each one was as bad as the other. I believe that time has eased the heartache and that's why it doesn't quite seem so bad.

Er, didn't they beat Barcelona in the semi? Not sure that's a favourable draw.

How were we cheated out of the FA Cup? We were conceding from nearly every set piece at that point, Digne gives away a totally stupid foul in a dangerous area, they play a great free kick in and Pickford gets nowhere near it.

Cheated out of results? We have a current team that doesn't score goals and concedes at least one a game. If the oppo are scoring one more than you every game, there's only one result.

Years and years and years of mismanagement and negligence from ‘certain people’ at the club over the last almost 3 decades have led to our ultimate demise. It’s continuing even now with this Silva farce.

I won’t lie though our luck in general has been appalling.

We are were we are because we're crap, stop blaming car and referees.
Millwall beat us because they figured out everytime they cross the ball into the box they score, other teams score against us in the second half because they know after 65mins the players get tired and drop off.
