Wages is the big thing. It's all very well looking at a 1.5 million pound transfer fee and saying it's a bargain but 80K a week for four years is 16 million.
Wages are often overlooked I feel.
I mean we could afford to go and sign a player for 15m tomorrow, we just wouldnt be able to pay him.
I also think the way people want paying is changing, more and more teams are asking for cash upfront these days.

Its is pretty depressing to see other clubs buy players but we just have to get on with it, and with us playing so bad against southamption is worrying and we have no money to freshen the team up.
This really means nothing but with our recent luck in the window it got me wondering.

It angers me A LOT that Newcastle sign Gouffran and Moussa Sissoko for a combined fee of £3,5m. Two fantastic players who i'm sure could have been outstanding for us. Striker and midfielder... just what we need ffs. We've been linked with them both before, and if we really couldn't coff up that amount for them, that's straight out depressing. Fuming atm.
