Seeing as the Olympics has started to build a head of steam, and medals for everyone are free flowing, what do you think the medal table will look like compared to Beijing?

Less golds, more medals. We're in the thick of the stuff where GB get their golds from now - all the ropey stuff like rowing and shooting. Expect the second week to be like a desert in track and field.

Not arsed to be honest. Seeing underdogs like the judo lass get silver or the gymnast team get a bronze was more special than Wiggins' gold for me.

Plus I'm just generally loving almost every sport, regardless of GB's involvement.

It's not really a level playing field when you talk about medal tallies so as long as we get a fairly respectable total I'll be pleased.

less golds more medals, my brothers gf was nearly in the british judo team, she beat that girl that won the silver about 2 months ago FFS

With the way favourites for GB keep falling just short and athletes out of leftfield popping up to take medals, im expecting GB gold in the 100m.

This. Think both will be less, but Beijing was massive, so anything close will be good

And tbh, I'd rather the Games was the highlight, with us putting in a decent performance. Can see this being a massive boost to some sports.

Yeh but she was well middle class so it doesnt count does it?

Mate if there aren't at least 2 miners within the last 3 branches of your family tree the medal may as well be made out of chocolate.

Wait wait wait though- Judo is quite a tough sport, bit of fighting which is a working mans recreation isnt it? Im confused- does it count or not mate?

Have a look at the military medals table and see who gets most of them.
