Welcome! I guess you may be in touch with Billy Wright then. Didn't he end up at Carlisle?

Hi , thanks for agreeing for me to join the group. Im an ex Everton player, 1974, great memories and in contact with some of my old team mates

….hello Jon, my era but I’m not sure if our paths crossed. I certainly know a number of the lads on the Youth team picture above.

Mick Parle was a big pal of mine, he was geared to being a pro, he was fiery and footy was everything to him so I was surprised he didn’t come through at Everton. We enjoyed a very successful partnership at school and in representing Liverpool Schoolboys. Mick signed for Everton, I signed for RS in 1971 and we lost touch.

David Esser was an England Schoolboy and Stockport lad. Good player, I remember scoring a few at Edgeley Pk when he was in opposition. I knew Cliff Marshall, he was the year above me at Liverpool Boys and I think I played a few representative youth matches with Mike O’Halloran.

What is your background & how did you sign for The Toffees? I see you’re from Barrow and you’re a year younger which might explain why I don’t remember you but there’s a good chance we played against each other.
