Article 42.07 – We basically need him signed before 24:00 on the 7th of August so that he's eligible for the Split game.

See the top corner of that it says List A. That's the list of players over the age of 21 who the club want to register. We would have supplemented our list before the last round and we will then be allowed to adjust it up to six days (I think) before the next fixture . The 7th of august deadline only applies to clubs entering at this stage of the competition (I think)

Edit : According to our UEFA rules expert on the Cork City forum (we were in the EL too) you can register one new player every round up to 24 hrs before the game. Then you submit a full list A to cover the group stage. List B who are u21 and at the club for 2 years plus can be added at anytime

I think those are the two we need personally or of that type. Gylfi is a good player I like him, but the price is absurd and we have players in that position.

I'd say Neymar is worth maybe 2, 3 at best Siggy's and way way less wages

We'll have to agree to disagree mate because replacing your best player with a few average players (£50m won't get them much) to fill gaps doesn't make sense to me.

I'd say Neymar is worth maybe 2, 3 at best Siggy's and way way less wages

£50million for 1 Siggy is worth it

Sigurdsson is of interest to us and Leicester and, most importantly, Swansea.

There are many players in Europe who have signed this year for far less than £50m who are massively better value than Gylfi.

£50m is more than any team has ever spent in Germany.
