Ironically Silva with Brands actually being able to operate autonomously would, in hindsight at least have been the best option here. I’m saying that as somebody who wanted both to be booted out of the club at the time however.

I mean it is all ultimately a moot point because unless you’re one of about 6 clubs you can’t spend money freely and if you aren’t one of about 3 clubs you’re aren’t allowed to win titles. Makes a DoF for a club like Everton utterly pointless.

I’d take the 7 figure salary every day of the week. And then if my employer were stupid enough to promote me and pay me more money I’d take that too.

I know absolutely nothing about finance or business but I’m very suspicious of people who are perfectly happy purchasing considerable debt. I await the finance junkies telling me how this is perfectly normal and boring everyone to death with their explanation.
