    6 + 2 Point Deductions

I'm not going to be going into that level of detail. I don't share their view, but people who work in law feel we will get our points back. The clubs defence at the last one was shambolic.

In fairness mate, it has been rotting for 25 years, and Bill was in charge for most of them.

Thats true, but even when he is left 1 v 1, he now defends those situations confidently.

I mean you are entitled to your opinion. But I'd have been very surprised.

It looked like an "impact injury" to me, rather than anything muscular.

I'm not being horrible, you have no idea what we would have taken. But given we turned down 15m ish in the summer, I highly doubt we'd have taken that.

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

Harrison looked tired and needed to be pulled, it was a brave but correct call. I'll be honest, I'd have gone with Godgrey and changed chape, or shunted Patterson 1 forward. But Dyche knew more than me. Harrison and McNeil both put in a fantastic shift defensively. He really helped v Mudryk...

    2023/24 Lewis Dobbin

With his weaker foot too, that was a great goal, as the ball was high. To get over the ball, control it, but also hit through with such power is very impressive. You can see Dobbin's abulity is really in and around the box. He has a lot of competition with McNeil and to a degree Harrison, but...

Your point about inflation is a good one, and I'm amazed not a single journalist has sought to mention it. I can only guess none of them know what inflation is. As for your 2nd part, qualified opinion seems to be we get the points back. I'm scpetical, but they know more than me.

I'm not being horrible, but Villa, United, Chelsea and Brighton are all winnable. United and Chelsea don't look that good. And we are playing well away. It will be about 25 point for survival this season too.

I've seen lads who cost a lot more than him, look a lot less effective. Ellis Simms went for 8m, and he looks a lot better than him IMO.

    2023/24 Abdoulaye Doucoure

It's probably fair, but he does do a lot more tackling than 90% of strikers and good defensive work, but a good way to look at it. The reality is, we didn't have anyone near double figures last season. This lad got what 5 in half a season and seems to be continuing on in that vain. We can't...

Without looking to pick hairs, he drops in a lot more, and plays a similar position to what Cahill did. He gets beyond DCL, but at times will drop deeper too.

We struggle for goals. He has scored 8 in 18 since Dyche arrived. I'd politely suggest we have much bigger problems than his limitations, when he produces stats like that.

Normally you need to be likeable and clever to pull it off. They're not, so it's always very obvious. It's essentially spot the weirdo you wouldn't let your kid near, and you know its one of them. It keeps them away from playgrounds though!

Depends how debt is defined, but including outstanding stadium costs probably between 500-600m. A lot of that will be wiped off with a takeover. The stadium may be sold for a similar figure too, with the agreement of say a 99 year lease.
