We had the better team and finished above them that season as well. Moyes absolutely shat himself when we went 1 up. I remember it fondly, sitting at Wembley and watching them go further and further deeper

Hi MathieuTheMassiveTexan, Just an FYI, the below is fat Sams last 29 as a manager. Played 29, lost 17, drew 8, won 4 Remind us again how we’d be safe?

    2022/23 Sean Dyche

Mate, don’t use Brighton has an example of how dangerous we can be. Not many teams play that open, and everything that night was spot on (tactics, awareness of players and luck).

I guess when you say fit, you generally mean having DCL available? I’d still say it’s a possibility, yep he massively changes how we play, but nobody else is a threat.

It is mate, we can’t score. We have no players who score, last year we were one of the lowest scoring teams and we made that situational worse by selling the only player who scores. If we stay up, and we enter next season with the same attacking outlets, we’ll struggle again.

It won’t make a blind bit of difference who the manager is if that useless kopite DoF can’t figure out that goals win games.
  14. nsno-chris

    2022/23 Sean Dyche

Because he went to the all conquering Crystal Palace and got, in our recent history, one of our greatest results. Against all odds, Dyche and his brave soldiers fought off the barrage of the free flowing, Roy Hodgson masterclass of total football, and came away with a nil nil result What a day

If only he’d had the foresight to smell blood at Palace or Leicester we’d be safe He’ll make a great Preston manager

Sunderland fans can joke all they want, until they’ve witnessed Neal Maupay pretend to be a top flight footballer then their opinions mean little to me Maupay is on par with Brett Angell as one of the worst strikers I’ve witnessed
  17. nsno-chris

    2022/23 Sean Dyche

Because Simms at least as physicality about him; something g that can be used to cause a bit of confusion/upsetting defences Whereas Neal Maupay is one of the worst centre forwards that has represented this club

    2022/23 Sean Dyche

Hopefully he improves on the 19th, 17th, 15th & 18th finishes and the fact his highest scoring season was 45 Considering his teams couldn’t score you think he may have tried to resolve that
